"Right," Said Fred -- Durst Files $80 Million Dollar Lawsuit over Sex Tape

Clearly, Fred did not do it all for the nookie. Acting swiftly and decisively, The Smoking Gun has uncovered the paperwork filed today in an $80 million dollar lawsuit against Gawker Media (yes THAT Gawker), Roadrunner, Servint, and about a gojillion other people over last week's sex tape fiasco. Apparently, the owner of a pornographic video distribution company was contacted about possibly selling the tape. When the offer was rejected, boom, it went public. You should read through this very interesting document regarding the lawsuit.

I revise my earlier commentary about Fred relishing in all the attention. I concede that I was incorrect in my thinking completely. Developments in my own life this week have made it much more difficult to comment on this story -- no, I'm not one of the John Doe's thankfully -- as I have been...well, let's just say that I've been given an opportunity to see Mr. Durst's role in the music industry in an entirely different way. I may be doing some revisionist commentary on that in the days to come, we soon shall see.
